There is something about the country of Haiti that I just can’t shake. My first trip there was in late July of 2010 and it absolutely changed my life. I knew long before we left that I would come back. Currently, I’m planning on going back to Haiti in December of 2010, but the specific dates are still tentative.

Last time, I was able to raise the entire $1200 thanks to YOU! It meant the world, not only to me, but to the lives of those I was able to touch during the trip (Like this young man in the photo with me. He lives at one of the orphanages run by one of the organizations we partnered with, International Crisis Aid. They have child sponsorship programs available if you’re interested.. You can be a sponsor for $40/month to make sure that these children’s basic needs are being met with.)

This time, I want you to partner with me once again, and be a part of this trip by helping me finance it. Whether your gift is as small as a $5 cup of Starbucks coffee, or as large as your mortgage, it will be greatly appreciated and wisely used.

You can give directly through PayPal. This donation will not be tax-deductible. You can use credit cards as well as debit cards and need only an email address, no need to create a new account. I will use these funds for the trip as well as for supplies that will need to be purchased.

PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!

THANK YOU in advance for you donation and support! I cannot wait to get there and make an impact in the lives of those affected by this tragic event. If you have ANY questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Boston.com’s The Big Picture has some of the most powerful and compelling pictures I have seen of Haiti. I remember later one night I began weeping as I looked through them, seeing the reality of the situation. It was then, stronger than ever, that I knew I had to go. Here are their articles:  The Day After || 48 Hours After || Six Days Later || Three Weeks Later || 70 Days Later || Faces of Haiti
